Position Overview: 

We are seeking a dedicated Paint Booth Assistant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our painting operations and ensuring the smooth execution of tasks within the paint department.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the preparation of cabinets for painting, including sanding, masking, and cleaning tasks.

- Operate and maintain paint mixing equipment and paint cabinets, ensuring colors are correctly mixed and prepared according to specifications.

- Support the paint team in loading and unloading the paint booth, as well as setting up and cleaning equipment before and after use.

- Conduct routine checks and basic maintenance on the paint booth and related equipment to ensure everything is in proper working order.

- Ensure the paint area is clean and organized, adhering to safety and environmental regulations at all times.

- Assist in inventory management of paint supplies, materials, and equipment.

- Provide support in troubleshooting minor technical issues within the paint booth and with painting equipment.

- Collaborate with the team to continuously improve painting processes and outcomes.

- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Qualifications:

- Experience working with paint cabinets and a basic understanding of paint mixing techniques.

- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in a paint booth environment.

- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively in a team setting.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, and move or lift heavy objects when necessary.

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in auto body painting or a related field is a plus.

- Previous experience in a cabinet painting environment is highly desirable.
