The Block Machine Operator will monitor the operation of the production line.  Ensuring the materials, batch and quality meets standards for production.  Block Machine Operator serves as the team leader of all parts of the production process.

Pay rates are based upon experience and will be discussed in a face-to-face interview. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Batch raw materials feeding into the mixer
  • Observe the batch to ensure proper loading and production of specific block
  • Maintains quality of block production and takes correction where needed
  • Responsible for the overall safety and efficiency of the plant
  • Reports to the Plant manager on production cycle to ensure needs are met
  • Performs troubleshooting and mechanical repairs to the block machine, production line, or electrical systems
  • Performs mold changes and machine set up as needed to meet business demands
  • Maintains parts inventory to reduce downtime
  • Maintains block machine performing preventative maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs 


  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
  • Mechanical and electrical knowledge preferred
  • Forklift operation knowledge
  • Experience with operating automated machinery preferred
  • Knowledge of motor controls preferred
  • Generally knowledge of hand tools

Working Conditions:

  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; and risk of electrical shock or burn.
  • The noise level in some areas of the work environment may be loud, but is typically moderate.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 75lbs unassisted
  • Must be able to maneuver heavy items with assistance
