SRM Concrete announced the opening of a new harbor site in Port St. Joe, Florida on property adjacent to SRM’s existing ready-mix batch plant opened earlier this year.
Operated by Hollingshead Harbor, SRM Concrete’s marine transportation company, the site will receive bulk aggregate via barge from SRM’s quarry in Jackson, Alabama.

SRM Concrete has announced the opening of its newest ready-mix plant in Vero Beach, Florida, marking SRM’s fourth new location opened in Florida this year.

SRM Concrete has announced the opening of its newest ready-mix plant in Avon Park, Florida.
“We’re excited to begin serving our Avon Park customers, and we’re looking forward to batching concrete from this new site,” stated CEO Jeff Hollingshead. “Our Bartow team has worked hard to serve Highlands County, but with this plant, we can now offer more direct, reliable service while continuing to deliver the quality our customers expect.”
This expansion represents SRM’s fifth plant in South-Central Florida, with existing locations in Haines City, Lakeland, Mulberry, and Bartow. The new dry-batch plant can produce approximately 120 cubic yards of concrete per hour.

SRM Concrete and the Hollingshead Family were honored under the lights at Smyrna High School’s home opening football game for their contributions to the athletics program. In addition to the turf field donation in 2022, The SRM Foundation funded the construction a state-of-the-art field house and a new LED video scoreboard in the north endzone. The new 8,000-square-foot athletic building includes a weight room, indoor turf section, locker room, training room, and kitchen. The existing locker room was also renovated to accommodate larger laundry facilities and storage space.
