Brownwood, TX — SRM Materials has completed an expansion at its Brownwood, Texas quarry with the installation of a new crushing plant. The new equipment replaces an existing portable crusher and is capable of producing more than one million tons of limestone annually from the 320-acre site.
“We’re proud to open this new plant in Brownwood, marking an important milestone in our continued growth and investment in the region,” said Ryan Hollingshead, President of SRM Materials. “The additional capacity allows us to better serve our customers with consistent, high-quality products while continuing to support our network of ready-mix plants in the area.”
The expansion strengthens SRM Materials’ presence in Central Texas by improving logistics and reducing turnaround times for customers across the region. With increased on-site production capacity, the Brownwood quarry is well-positioned to support continued growth and customers in both infrastructure and commercial construction markets.
The materials division was created to provide SRM Concrete plants with dependable aggregates and has since expanded to produce and supply limestone, granite, river rock, and sand products to a wide range of customers.
Founded in 1999 by Mike and Melissa Hollingshead in Smyrna, Tennessee, SRM Concrete is a family-owned company that operates a network of ready-mix plants, quarries, cement terminals, and related services across 24 states.
