Job Summary: Bulk Tanker Operators hold a CDL Class A. Tanker Operators are responsible for hauling our cement powder and other materials to our plants or customers. We believe in providing quality service to our customers; Tanker Operators are assigned their own trucks and represent our company when delivering to clientele. Timeliness is necessary to provide a quality product.

Starting pay: $25 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Transport materials to SRM plants or other customer locations
  • Conduct your work safely
  • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
  • Use Zonar Tablet for Electronic Log, Navigation, and Pre-trip inspections
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical/safety issues and report for SRM shop to perform preventative maintenance
  • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
  • Unload truck into SRM Cement Silos and other designated areas
  • Provide outstanding customer service
  • Ensure completion of require paperwork prior to unloading
  • Keep the truck clean for safety measures and presentable for company recognition
  • Return to plant in a timely manner to receive next load
  • Possess a "GO-GETTER" mentality
  • Comply with DOT Regulations
  • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions
  • Report defects, accidents or violations
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Current CDL Class A
  • Minimum 2 years Tanker experience (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years Concrete Experience (preferred)
  • Good driving record (MVR Requested)
  • Submit for a criminal background check
  • Clear Drug/Alcohol Clearinghouse
  • Pass a DOT drug screen (pre-screen)
  • Current DOT Medical Card
  • No felony convictions within the past ten years
  • No unexplained gaps in employment

Working Conditions:

  • Monday – Saturday schedule (with two scheduled weekends off per month)
  • Shifts will be flexible (morning, mid-day, and night)
  • Overtime is expected
  • Expect to work outdoors in elements

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift/carry 50lbs
  • Able to walk up and down ladders/stairs
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance on the trucks (greasing and cleaning)
